Report - Presentations of IP blacklists research

Well, I finally returned from all activities I had during the last weeks. To summarize, I presented my research results at two conferences and at an advancement award of a German Internet Security association. And - I won it :)

RIPE and Inbox/Outbox

On Thursday, 25th October '07, I gave the first talk in Amsterdam, at the 55th RIPE meeting. A webcast is accessible in the RIPE archives. After that, I also presented my work at the Inbox/Outbox Email conference in London. Wow, it was really stress these days.

CAST e.V. advancement award

On 15th November, I participated at the assessment of an advancement award sponsed by the CAST e.V. and gave again a presentation about the research on blacklisting I did. I was very happy to eventually win in the category of Bachelor students and receive the award.

Article in German tech paper iX

On 13th December, a German article about the blacklist research will be puslished in the German technology paper iX. I wrote this article together with my colleage Christian Dietrich and Mr. Prof. Dr. Norbert Pohlmann, CEO of the Institute for Internet Security.
